The Liberty Cap Mushroom, Psilocybe semilanceata, normally known as the liberty cap, is a type of growth that produces the psychoactive compounds psilocybin and biocytin. Psilocybin mushrooms, one of the most generally distributed and potent. The mushrooms have an unmistakable conelike to a chime-shaped cap, up to 2.5 cm (1.0 in) in breadth, with a small nipple-like protrusion on the top.
